About Internships
Internships in the Nucleic Acid Chemistry and Engineering Unit is accepted through the OIST graduate program. Please apply through the OIST Research Internship Program. However, please note that the internship selection by the OIST graduate program is highly competitive.
We typically prefer students who can stay 4 months or longer. We welcome students with backgrounds in life sciences or chemistry. The type of projects depends on the availability of mentors (graduate students or postdocs) and the status of the ongoing projects, thus cannot be guaranteed ahead of time.
Internships funded by external foundations or agencies have also been hosted in the past. If you need assistance in applying for such opportunities, please contact Prof. Yokobayashi directly.
